We’ve seen it hanging in the store this fall a lot: bourdeaux or wine red and yes, I’ve also fallen for it. The two pieces I own are both from H&M, a fake leather pants and a real leather peplum top. At first I thought the top was difficult to combine, but it’s actually quite fun since a simple blouse underneath it is enough to create a chic but modern outfit. Combined it with a silver and grey items to let the colour pop a little. I’m a great fan of dark colours so the dark red is ideal for my winter wardrobe. In the mean time I’m working on my web shop again, more info about that soon!

Last weekend I spent two nights in Luik (Belgium) soaking up some fresh air and get away from the city with the bf. Although the weather was really bad (you don’t hear me complaining after seeing ‘Sandy’ on the news) I had a great time, especially when you pack basically EVERYTHING and then forget the most essential piece ever: your bikini to swim in. Don’t get me started..Seriously. About the outfit: I recently bought this sequined top for 20 E at
Episode, which is a 2nd hand store in o.a. Amsterdam. Most people go there to buy old fashioned casual clothing, but somehow the formal and cocktail wear is something that always attracts my eye. Can you believe this piece is from C&A? Not even kidding. I think they’re surprised themselves when they’d find out. I added a city chic look to it with biker boots and faux leather leggings and skirt. Ready for another week in Amsterdam I say!

For Fall I’m focussing on my own style, choosing for grey, nude and more darker tones with hints of dark bordeaux or deep blue and sometimes neon. I love mixing subtle tones with different surfaces, from shiny to matt. My next obsession? Probably hunting for accessories in the not so obvious camel colour, like sneakers, wallets or leather bracelets. I’m also more in the romantic mood, I love braids in my hair and soft nude wedges combined with embroidered pants or corsets. Yet another day I want to wear black Timberlands with a super sleek pony tail and an asymmetrical skirt. Are you keeping up with me? Will make a post of my favourite picks for Fall soon

.GUESS. Blue denim bag. / .COS. Slim fit blue legging. / .Zara. White knit and red blazer. / .Converse. All stars. / .Persol. Sunglasses.
A follower on
Facebook reminded me of this outfit as looking like ‘spider man’ which comes pretty close to it if you ask me. The outfit is inspired around my new bag from Guess, which has elements of white and red also in there. I’m still looking for the perfect denim shirt so that wasn’t an option, instead I went for a clean white knit (from last season) and a classic red blazer and converse shoes. I hope the outfit isn’t what you call too ‘matchy matchy’ (I hate that therm anyway, when is something too matchy?). I wanted to go away from the all dark look for once, which I think succeeded!

.Benny Horne shots Melissa Stasiuk for Vogue Turkiye October 2012.
Sometimes some editorials struck my eye. I’m not always sure what the reason is, but this one from
Benny Horne with Melissa Stasiuk for
Vogue Turkiye has some breathtaking silhouettes and materials in one outfit that amaze me. The dark purple coat in the upper right picture from
Damir Doma is just amazing, I can’t take my eyes of it! See the whole photo shoot
here.

.Choies. Snake print high waisted leggings.
I’m looking for snake printed items for a long time, but didn’t find the right one until this one from
Choies. Love the fact it’s high waisted for Fall and that it’s super skinny!

Last week I haven’t been posting much, as I was evaluating my blog, thinking how to bring you more variant content about fashion, style and upcoming trends. Fact is that I post much more on
Facebook as I do on here, for those who’re following me there I’m sure you’ve noticed. As I don’t want this blog to be only about outfits, I’ll also post a weekly Instagram diary, style inspiration, favourite picks, reports about events, new collections I like and clothing sets like this one above. This is the typical two colour match I love, it’s so classic and fits almost any woman, no matter what figure you have. I adore the boots from Zara, the cut/fit seems really nice, but I don’t want to find myself in what so many other bloggers are already wearing (I’m sure you have the same problem with your girl friends sometimes!). Have you been to any Halloween party last weekend? I wanted to, but my cold kept me away from it unfortunately!

.Zara. Snake print jeans. / .River Island. MTV printed top and leather jacket. / .Sacha. Suede boots. / .H&M. Hoody. / .Ray-Ban. Wayfarer limited edition.
Just a quick outfit post of what I wore yesterday. Casual hoody with leather jacket (one of my favourite combinations), dark sunnies and snake printed jeans (also one of my favourite pieces). I’ve been on the hunt to find a jeans similar to it, but can’t find it anywhere in stores yet (or I did find it online, but then 700 dollars more expensive…, see
here). I love prints with a glance or shimmer, as long as it doesn’t look too overdone. Lately I’ve been busy also gathering my portfolio, which is digitally all over the ‘place’, as in on 3 computers and two back up systems. I’m not sure what employers would prefer, digitally or real life? For me it’s all about the mix that makes it exciting. What you see is not always what you get right? Make sure to follow on
Facebook as I’m always updating much more on there about the newest styles, trends and collections.
