TRAVEL BLOG BRUGES – Hotel and the city

Hi girls! Here’s my very first travel blog outside The Netherlands for you, and I can’t be more excited! I hope you’ve all enjoyed my Stories the past few days, to get a glimpse of the hotel and of course of Bruges. We stayed in the prettiest hotel called Relais & Chateaux Hotel Heritage, with everything on walking distance. Relais & Chateaux stands for the privately-owned organization of hotels which they’re a member of.

About the hotel:

First of all I want to thank the super friendly and helpful staff of this pretty hotel and one of the owners Isabelle. They’ve helped Wendy and me during our stay to take pictures, as I didn’t anticipate on going there with Wendy in the first place. Thanks to them we took some really cool shots and I can’t thank them enough for that!

The hotel is situated right in a quiet ally next to the city centre, called the ‘Grote Markt’ where you will find museums and the more touristic café’s. Wendy and I only had one day and night to explore the city. We visited some coffee places and also of course we also took the typical Bruges scenery shots. Bruges is really romantic and definitely worth visiting during the weekend to surprise your girl- or boyfriend. You really go back in time and the hotel is styled in a very baroque/romantic way as you can see in the pictures.

About the room:

The rooms are tidy, clean and furnished with large baroque chairs and a big master beds. The facilities are all super modern though, with a tv, ipad and airconditioning in the room. I love the fact that they even have the telephones in this baroque style which is a finishing touch to the hotel room. Right next to the reception downstairs is a beautiful bar and restaurant, which serves the most delicious dishes. We were really spoiled the night we stayed as we had 8 courses with perfectly fitted wine with it! It is definitely worth dining in the hotel I would say.

You can check out and book the room we stayed in by clicking here.

About Bruges:

Have you ever thought about visiting Belgium or Bruges? I think this is really the perfect city for a romantic setting. Although there are many tourists, I can definitely see why people fall in love with this small town. The atmosphere is quiet, almost medieval, and there are no modern buildings to be found. Make sure you book it when it’s not high season because I think it would be too crowded if you do. About the duration: two days and one night are enough to explore the city in my opinion.

Let me know what you think of my small review of this travel blog Bruges? Would you like to see more video or a travel vlog next time? As always I’m curious what you girls think regarding this and I would love to take you with me as much as possible!

Happy Sunday ladies! Today I’ll be showing you how to pimp up your Instagram Stories by adding music and animated text with the Hype Type app. I’ve had so many questions of you girls and it’s time that I reveal my little secret so you can also enjoy the benefits. I’m all about editing and pimping existing movies, pictures or boomerangs so let me know if you have any suggestions of your own <3

How to add music to Instagram Stories + animated text

It’s pretty straight forward how to add music to Instagram Stories: download the app, start a new session and pick a picture, a video or a boomerang to start with. Next you’ll see the text ‘double tap to edit’ and you can start the fun. Click on the ‘T’ symbol to edit the text and chose different transitions. Below the transitions you’ll find sets of three colours. Be aware: every tap on a set is changing the letters into a different colour.

Then it’s time to add some music. Since Instagram Stories are usually upto 15 seconds there’s no artistic infringement and you can pick any music song you want (which is awesome btw). I usually go for the more calm, soothing songs that are easy to listen to. Another option you see is how long the text should be visible during the movie (duration). It has become extremely easy for me now to show you new clothes I get in and animate the ‘swipe up’ text that is usually pretty dull. I first of course create a Story, download it on my phone and then animate it in the Hype Type app.

Time for you to put your editing skills to the test! Here’s the direct link for iPhone users to download the app. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the app for Android users (so sorry!). I know I’m definitely not the early adapter here but it’s still fun to share with you some tips and tricks I think. Please let me know if you’ve found this blogpost useful and you’d like to see (and learn) more about how I edit my pictures or video’s?

Follow me on Instagram if you would love to see more examples of how I use this app to pimp my Instagram Stories.

Have a lovely day my angels and I wish you a good start of the week tomorrow, big big kiss!
